Most recently PAJAMAs’ client John Lee Hooker, Jr. “Blues with a Vengeance” the son of legendary blues artist John Lee Hooker won the prestigious 2004 Outstanding Blues Album Award at the 27th Annual Northern California Music Awards formerly known as the BAMMYS (Bay Area Music Awards). Based on this recognition John Lee Hooker, Jr. was nominated for a Grammy for the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in the field of BLUES for the Best Traditional Blues Album: “Blues With A Vengeance” released in 2004. Hooker is also nominated for the 26th Annual W.C. Handy Blues Awards for Best New Artist Debut. Our studio PAJAMA Recording Studios and producer/engineer Jim Gardiner share in this nomination for recording and mixing the album.
